My name is Marilyn Lindsay and I am a 3rd/4th grade teacher here at Renaissance. This is the 14th year of my teaching career. I grew up in the southern part of Michigan and I have five siblings. I attended Central Michigan University when my husband Pete and I were first married. Now we have three children named Emily, Ian and Owen. I have lived in Mt. Pleasant for 29 years. I love to read books, go camping with my family, and attend events at MSU.
My name is Rachel Brandeberry and this is my fourteenth year teaching at Renaissance. I think 3rd and 4th grade is just so much fun, and I absolutely love being an Islander teacher! I was born in Cudahy, Wisconsin (near Milwaukee), moved around quite a bit when I was younger, and eventually ended up in Mount Pleasant where I received my degrees at Central Michigan University. In my free time, I love going on mini adventures with my family, playing with my children Gibson and Gwen, going to concerts, playing golf, and cooking.
My name is Dustin Neyer. This is my second year teaching at Renaissance and I am so excited to be an Islander teacher! I recently graduated from Alma College, where I also played football. I have lived in Mt. Pleasant my entire life and love the sense of community that this town offers. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family at our cottage on Lake Isabella, going to concerts and sporting events, and helping out on my dad’s dairy farm.
My name is Carly Schwartz and I am a 3rd/4th grade teacher here at Renaissance! I have been teaching for about three years, my career starting in Grand Rapids. I attended Grand Valley State University, where I was also a track athlete. My fiancee and I moved to Mt. Pleasant in July 2018 because he now attends CMU’s medical school! In my free time I love to be able to spend time with friends and family. I also like to snowmobile in the winter and go to beach in the summer!
