Renaissance Athletics Policy - Updated
Athletic Policy Change
Effective immediately, all student-athletes, coaches, and spectators, for events held at RPSA, will be required to wear a face mask when in the building. This includes all practices and events held at RPSA until further notice.
RPSA student-athletes and coaches are required to wear a face mask at all athletic competitions held at other schools and venues. RPSA will continue to compete with teams at their home sites, even if that school does not have a face mask mandate in place. In some cases, the RPSA student-athletes and coaches will be wearing masks, and the other team and spectators may not be wearing masks.
- The decision to participate in events away from RPSA, where the opposing team does not require face masks must be made at the beginning of the season and will apply to all away competitions. In other words, this is not a game-by-game decision. This indication will be made on the amended athletic contract. Options will include:
- Participation in all events both at home and away, regardless of the host school’s mask mandate.
- Participation in only the home events held at RPSA where a mask mandate is in place.
- Food and drink will not be allowed at home athletic events, eliminating the need to remove a face mask while at an event at RPSA.
Renaissance Athletics Fees & Scholarships
The participation fee per sport at Renaissance Academy is $80.
Scholarships are also available by printing and completing the form at the bottom of this page under Resources. Families of student athletes receiving scholarships are asked to volunteer to work at one home athletic event. Thank you.
Participation fees are due prior to the first scheduled game. If you have any questions, contact Mr. McCausey (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Student Athlete Drop-off (for practice and games)
When dropping student athletes off for practice and competition, the crosswalks should be used at all times. Student athletes should not be walking in and out of traffic in the parking lot. Walk directly to a crosswalk and cross at that point. This is for the safety of everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
