Competition Coach Salmon & Sideline Coach Talbot

My name is Gabrielle Salmon, I grew up in Saint Louis where I cheered for 12 seasons, including football sideline, basketball sideline, and competitive cheer. I live in Mt. Pleasant with my husband, son, and our 3 dogs. I also run a candle business, an event venue, and a flower farm. I was the varsity cheer coach in Saint Louis for eight years, and I’ve been with Renaissance since 2022. My mission as a cheer coach is to build a strong foundation in order to grow the program, as well as provide a safe and fun learning environment for everyone to grow and further their skills and overall love for the sport.

Hi, I am a proud Mom of two Renaissance students, soon to be three, and have an incredibly supportive husband who is always involved and loves volunteering at school events. Family and community are a huge part of who I am!

Cheerleading has been a lifelong passion. I participated in sideline cheer, competitive cheer, and Poms throughout all of high school, earning a Varsity Letter in Poms. I’ve also coached tumbling for Champion Force, and served as the Assistant Competition Cheer Coach for the 2025 – 2026 (here at Renaissance).

Outside of cheer, I love serving our community as a local business owner. One of my greatest joys is teaching life skills that help shape hardworking, respectful, and successful members of our community.
