Coach Schwartz & Coach Sroufe
My name is Carly Schwartz, and I am so excited to be coaching this year at Renaissance, where I am also an Islander teacher. I have loved and played sports all my life. I played basketball from elementary school through high school, where I also participated in travel leagues in the off season. Upon graduation from high school, I attended and ran track at Grand Valley State University. I can’t wait to work with this group of young ladies and watch them fall in love with the game!
Jason Sroufe has loved basketball since he was a kid. He had the opportunity to learn from his father, who coached girls AAU basketball, and when he became the father to two girls, he said he always hoped he could coach them in basketball someday. Jason has worked at Wellspring Lutheran Services since 2006 and is currently the Family Services Division Director. He oversees programs that serve families through home-based services. Jason has been married to Sara for over 14 years and has two daughters, Joy (8th grade) and Claire (7th grade) at RPSA. Jason spends his free time exercising, volunteering with youth and families in the community, and watching/playing sports.
