Coach Roney & Coach Snyder
My name is John Roney, and I am excited to be a coach for the 2024 season of RPSA Cross Country! I graduated from Central Michigan University in May of 2022, and completed my student teaching at Renaissance during the Spring of 2022. I have now transitioned into the role of the Visual and Performing Arts Teacher, track coach, and XC coach at Renaissance, and I am very excited to continue guiding students through developing their passions! I personally have a passion for running and endurance events. I ran XC and track in high school, and have since kept up with running and fitness through races, hiking, and biking. I also love to bikepack and have recently completed my first century of riding in the Summer of 2021! I strive to assist students in developing a foundation of interdependent leadership skills, through activities like Cross Country, that they can continue to build on throughout their life. I am looking forward to a phenomenal 2024 RPSA Cross Country season!
Hi everyone! My name is Mrs. Snyder, and I will be your interim cross country coach this season. I have been an avid runner most of my life. Before having children, I ran several half-marathons and one full marathon. My runs are shorter and less frequent these days, but I will always have a passion for the sport. I started my teaching career at Renaissance back in 2009 with sixth grade. Since then, I have taught preschool and Trailblazers, then took a couple years off to grow my family. My husband and I have 4 children, ages 1, 2, 4, and 12. I am now back at RPSA part-time doing reading interventions, which I love! I coached cross country several years ago when the athletic department at Renaissance was just getting started, and I am excited to get back into it! Feel free to reach out to me through email at, nsnyder@renaissancepsa.com. I look forward to meeting you!
