Girls Basketball Tournament Information
Families: The girls basketball tournament will be held on March 16 in Cadillac. The tournament is being held at the following address:
Mac Trail Middle School – 8401 South Mackinaw Trail – Cadillac
The bus will leave the school at 8:45am. The cost should be the same as if you were coming to a home game.
The tournament will begin at 10:30am. The seeding will not be set until league games are finished. The “A” tournament will be just the one game for the championship, and that game will be at 10:30am. They will have concessions availabe, and the cafeteria will be availabe for use to eat in…so that we can keep food out of the gym. Locker rooms and restrooms will be available.
Remember – both teams will travel together on the bus. The expectations are very clear in the athletic handbook, and are expected to be followed. If you would like to transport your child home at the conculsion of their tournament day, a Transportation Waiver Form is required…and must be signed and completed in advance (Mrs. Bergman needs to sign it). Please do not wait to do this, as she is not always available.

Volunteer Today - Sheets Are Posted
We look forward to having you sign up on the sheets outside of the gym to fulfill the scholarship requirement. We can always use help during the games, selling popcorn and goodies – as well as stamping guest’s hands as they come in for the event. In addition, there is always a need for clean-up after the games (if you like the behind-the-scenes work) – sweeping the bleachers and taking care of chairs and tables.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. McCausey or Mr. McConnell. Go Rams!
Families: Please be aware of the changes in the Athletic Handbook. In order to qualify for a scholarship, a family member must volunteer to work at one home game. It can be during any season. For example: If my son played boys basketball, I might volunteer to work at a home girls basketball game.
Please contact Mr. McConell to sign up for volunteering at a home event. He will be happy to put you on the schedule. All of the schedules are posted.
